We are in the same flow of space-time. Everyone alone. Meanwhile together on the river. Like a memory reflected across different moments, our paths intertwine through echoes, reflections, and synchronicities. Sometimes my reflection is yours. Sometimes you inhabit my time of day. As in a mirror where the present unfolds in more than one direction, boundaries between self and other, past and future, begin to blend. We Met Each Other in the Future is part of the project “Symbiotic Visions”, that speculates on a moment in which two cultural perspectives recognize themselves in one another and enter into a living mutual symbiosis, between people and between human and more-than-human life.
This work does not understand knowledge, territory, or culture as resources to be extracted. It is rooted in reciprocity, exchange, and mutual learning. At a time when extractive logics continue to shape political, economic, and environmental relations across the globe, the project proposes an alternative imagination based on coexistence and interdependence.
